A Culinary Tour of France
Starting on Oct 6, 2010, the culinary tour begins at Chez Roux restaurant at La Torretta Lake Resort & Spa. Prepare to be inspired through a total of seven cooking classes, meeting every Wednesday at 10:00am and culminating in a Grand Finale on November 17th, supervised by Chef Albert Roux himself. Each weekly class of the Tour of France includes a four course lunch prepared by the participant side by side with awarding winning Chef Matthew Gray representing one of the provinces of France and wine pairing by Head Sommelier Garrett Donovan from the award winning cellars of Chez Roux.
For those who choose to stay the night, the AAA 4 Diamond La Torretta Lake Resort & Spa will provide special pricing for one of its spectacular suites with a breathtaking view of Lake Conroe. Accommodation will include Chef Roux’s own label champagne, Lenoble 'House of Albert Roux' Blanc de Blanc, Grand Cru, a special turndown sweet from Chez Roux’s pastry chef as well as a signed copy of Chef Roux’s recipe book.
