La Torretta's Awards & Distinctions

Since opening its doors in November of 2008, La Torretta Lake Resort & Spa has been recognized through numerous awards for its superior service and facilities for the resort as well as its dining outlets. Below are some of those awards.

 La Torretta Lake Resort & Spa, as well as its esteemed French restaurant, Chez Roux have received the 4-Diamond Award from the American Automobile Association (AAA). The AAA Diamond Rating Process is North America’s premier hotel rating program. AAA describes its 4 Diamond establishments as "Upscale in all areas. Accommodations are progressively more refined and stylish. The physical attributes reflect an obvious enhanced level of quality throughout. The fundamental hallmarks at this level include an extensive array of amenities combined with a high degree of hospitality, service, and attention to detail."

La Torretta Lake Resort & Spa is a proud member and recent recipient of the coveted IAAC Certification. The International Association of Conference Centers (IACC) is a not-for-profit, facilities-based organization whose mission is to assist members in providing the most productive meeting facilities around the world. These facilities represent the highest-quality venues available to meeting professionals on a global basis. They include: Best Luxury Hotel, Best Business Hotel,  Best Family Friendly, Best Pool, Best Romantic Hotel and Best Bed. The best thing about being a Best of CitySearch winner is that it is voted on by you, the consumer! 

La Torretta Lake Resort & Spa took home the awards for Best New Venue and Best Hotel With Meeting Space for its region from Texas Meetings & Events Magazine in 2009. The Best of 2009 Awards from Texas Meetings & Events Magazine honor the dedication and creativity of local event venues and professionals who have earned the respect and admiration of their clients and peers.

La Torretta Lake Resort & Spa was awarded the 2009 Landmark Award for Hospitality from the Houston Business Journal. The Landmark Awards celebrate the functionality and beauty of various buildings and developments in the Houston area. There are 16 categories, including hospitality, which cover a wide range of the many architectural marvels the city has to offer.

Chez Roux at La Torretta Lake Resort & Spa was a Regional Award Winner - Traditional Culinary Hospitality Restaurant for Santé Magazine in 2009. The Santé Restaurant Awards were created to recognize excellence in restaurant food, wine, spirits and service hospitality. The Santé Awards program is the only peer-judged restaurant and hospitality competition in North America.

Chez Roux at La Torretta Lake Resort & Spa was awarded the "Best of Award of Excellence" from Wine Spectator's Restaurant Wine List Awards in 2010. The awards recognize restaurants whose wine lists offer interesting selections, are appropriate to their cuisine and appeal to a wide range of wine lovers. The Best of Award of Excellence was created to give special recognition to restaurants that clearly exceed the requirements of the Award of Excellence. These lists typically offer 400 or more selections, along with superior presentation, and display either vintage depth, with several vertical offerings of top wines, or excellent breadth across several wine regions. Chez Roux at La Torretta Lake Resort & Spa was nominated for Best New Restaurant in the 2009 Houston Culinary Awards presneted by My Table Magazine. The Houston Culinary Awards were founded by My Table Magazine in 1997, and are voted on by consumers on My Table's website.
