Media Turnout Makes The Day At Spa Magazine’s Event
“Transformation” engages 100 at Montage Beverly Hills as 20 spas and beauty lines present their latest offerings

Los Angeles, Calif. – The theme was “Transformation” and the media were captivated as Spa magazine celebrated its 12th annual Spring Media Event in Los Angeles on April 2, 2009. With nearly 100 media professionals in attendance, the newest spa destinations, products, treatments and trends were presented to the press at the new Montage Beverly Hills, revealing an industry still decidedly on the upswing.
Among the spa, beauty, travel and otherwise intrigued media outlets in attendance were Angeleno, Coast Magazine, DaySpa, Elite Traveler, Genlux Magazine, InStyle, Instyle.com, Islands, OK!, People, Peter Greenberg Worldwide, Reuters, Robb Report, SELF, Shape, TravelAge West, US Weekly and WWD.
The lineup included world-renowned spas and resorts and internationally recognized beauty lines. The afternoon “preview” of what’s hot and happening from spa industry innovators offered the opportunity to mix, mingle and connect, making it the industry’s – and Spa’s – moment to shine. The convivial showcase proved a tremendous success, as well as a noteworthy foretaste of Spa magazine’s annual Fall Media Event, which will be held in New York on Oct. 30, 2009.
